- Alan D Walker of London, UK Vice President, Head of Financial and Commercial Services Hitachi Consulting UK Alan Walker became a founding member of Hitachi Consulting UK in March 2006, having previously been Head of Insurance at Unisys and a Partner in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Consultancy. With more than 20 years’ experience in the provision of consulting services and technology-enabled solutions to top tier companies in London, Edinburgh and New York, Alan’s work has encompassed both revenue enhancement and operations improvement. He has concentrated particularly on such areas as applied strategy, performance improvement, business process outsourcing, programme management, performance management and extracting value from technology. He has spoken on financial services issues at national and international conferences in the UK, the US, and the Middle East. Alan holds Bachelor and Master degrees in law from the Universities of Bristol and Oxford respectively, and is also a Chartered Accountant. He is married, with a teenage daughter.
